See what’s changing.

  1. Generation status and playback recover more reliably

The editor now recovers completed or failed generation states after a temporary connection interruption and restarts finished playback from the beginning.

    • If the editor briefly loses its connection during generation, it checks again for a completed or failed result instead of leaving the status unresolved.
    • After playback reaches the end, pressing play again starts from the first frame instead of staying at the end.
  2. Place new Cuts more precisely on the timeline

A new Cut now follows the selected Cut or playhead consistently. The playhead also snaps to nearby media boundaries.

    • Add a new Cut relative to the selected Cut or the current playhead instead of repairing its position afterward.
    • Apply the same insertion order whether a new Cut is added from the toolbar or another editor action.
    • Snap the playhead to nearby Cut, audio, and text boundaries during detailed timeline work.

See the current timeline editing workflow.

  3. Review the story and visual assets before generation

A new pre-production review brings the scenario, dialogue, and key visual assets into one checkpoint before the project moves into detailed generation and editing.

The first draft no longer has to move straight into production. The pre-production review makes the parts that shape later Cuts visible while they are still easier to change.

    • Read and revise the scenario Scene by Scene.
    • Check dialogue and the characters attached to it.
    • Review characters, outfits, locations, and objects before entering the editor.
    • Carry the approved project context into the editing workflow.

Tacu prepares a draft; the creator still decides what should be kept, changed, or generated again.

  4. Plan video generation scene by scene

Scene Guide added a planning layer between the scenario and media generation, so the visual direction can be reviewed before committing to every Cut.

Scene Guide gives each Scene a clearer visual plan before image or video generation begins.

    • Keep the intent of related Cuts together at the Scene level.
    • Review the generated direction before spending time on individual media results.
    • Adjust the plan when the action, setting, or visual emphasis is unclear.

This release is about preparing a better generation brief. It does not remove the need to review and refine the resulting images or videos.

  5. Tacu 1.0: From an idea to an editable video

Tacu 1.0 entered production on April 16, 2026, connecting planning, generated Cut media, timeline editing, and export inside one project.

Tacu 1.0 made the work after an initial generation part of the same editable project:

    • Organize the story into Scenes and Cuts instead of treating every result as an isolated clip.
    • Create image, video, and audio material around the Cut where it will be used.
    • Review the sequence in the editor and export a completed result from the project.

The product has continued to change since this release. The current Docs describe today's workflow; this entry records the April 16 production state.
